Swann Arlaud (born November 30, 1981 in Fontenay-aux-Roses, France) is a French actor who has established himself with impressive roles in arthouse and mainstream cinema. He came into contact with the film world at an early age through his family and gained his first experience as a child actor. After training in Paris, he steadily built a versatile career.
His breakthrough came with the lead role in the drama BLOODY MILK (original title: Petit Paysan, 2017, directed by Hubert Charuel). In it, he plays a young dairy farmer who desperately tries to save his herd from a disease. For this role, he received the 2018 César Award for Best Actor and was recognized internationally as an exceptional talent.
Other notable works include films such as Baden Baden (2016, directed by Rachel Lang), Grâce à Dieu (2019, directed by François Ozon), for which he won the César Award for Best Supporting Actor, and Serre moi fort (2021, directed by Mathieu Amalric). He has also appeared regularly on television, including in series such as Les Revenants.
