Filmmaker Hasan is seething with rage. He is banned from working and a serial killer is killing all the other directors in town. All except Hasan. Isn't he the best director in town? So why is he being neglected? On top of that, his star actress is getting impatient and wants to work with other directors. His wife doesn't seem to love him anymore, and his mother is starting to get demented. When a series of bizarre misunderstandings make Hasan the prime suspect in the serial murders and social media is in an uproar, he must come up with an ingenious plan to restore his reputation.... The directors murdered in the film include the film's director himself, Mani Haghighi, who has a cameo as a severed head, as well as socially critical filmmaker Rakhshan Banietemad, as revealed by New York Times reporter Thomas Erdbrink, who also plays himself.
