H Is for Happiness
| Dutch French German
The film adaptation of Barry Jonsberg's bestseller "My Life is an Alphabet" observes with absurd wit and quirky images how a girl brings happiness back into her life.
Since Candice's little sister died of sudden infant death syndrome, happiness has left the family "without leaving an address." Mother Alice (Emma Booth - Extinction) has been suffering from depression ever since. And her broke dad (Richard Roxburgh - Angel of Mine, The Crown) is at odds with his brother. Father and mother are so absorbed in their sadness that they hardly notice how Candis suffers.
"Inventive and colorful, yet serious youth film that conveys its weighty themes with a light hand." (filmdienst.de)
