A 35mm camera films from a window, with messages from the answering machine in the background. Slowly an imaginary biography unfolds. We see a city that grows and changes. A high-rise building emerges. At the same time, we learn only that about the absent protagonist, what the tapes tell us: they draw the picture of a couple that fails at the very moment when the child is born. The stories that appear in them, such as death, birth, separation and new beginnings, are existential life themes that - interwoven with everyday talk - become for the viewer a story that could also be his own - a "landscape of the soul" of universal character was created.
