Michel Gondry

Michel Gondry, born in 1963 in Versailles, is a French director and screenwriter whose works are characterized by a surreal and handcrafted visual style. His career began with pioneering music videos for artists like Björk and Daft Punk before he turned to feature films. For the screenplay of his film *Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind* (2004), he was awarded an Oscar along with Charlie Kaufman and Pierre Bismuth. His diverse body of work also includes the series *Kidding* (2018–2020) and the film *The Book of Solutions* (Le Livre des solutions), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023.
