Jean-Pierre Darroussin, born in 1953 in Courbevoie, is an established French actor and filmmaker. His career is closely linked to the films of director Robert Guédiguian, including works such as *Marius and Jeannette* (1997) and *The House by the Sea* (2017). For his performance in *Family Resemblances* (1996), he was awarded the César for Best Supporting Actor. In addition to his extensive work in front of the camera, Darroussin has also directed, for instance his debut film *Le Pressentiment* (2006), which received the prestigious Louis Delluc Prize.
