On her own, she declares war on the local aluminum industry to protect the beautiful Icelandic highlands. Renamed "the Mountain Woman," Halla secretly carries out dangerous acts of sabotage, with results. But just as she embarks on her biggest and boldest operation, she receives an unexpected letter: her application to adopt a child is finally granted. As Halla prepares to trade her role as protector of Mother Earth for real motherhood, she decides to deliver one last final mercy blow to the aluminum industry. And that is not without consequences.
