Aboard a small raft, Homer and Joé, in their fifties, travel upstream on a river to see the waterfalls of Croatia. Until the recent death of their father, they were ignorant of each other's existence. Yet they are half-brothers. Sean, an enigmatic and lying Irish adventurer will join them. "Upstream of the river", is a psychological adventure in which these modest and solitary men will deliver some of their secrets, their hopes perhaps and where the ties of blood, whether they want it or not, will unite them.
