Paloma Sermon-Daï

Director

Paloma Sermon-Daï is a Belgian director. After graduating from the Haute Ecole Libre de Bruxelles (HELB), she won a selection at the Visions du Réel Festival in 2017 for her short film Makenzy. In 2020, she directed Petit Samedi, a documentary following her brother's struggle with heroin addiction. This first feature film won awards at the FIFF Namur 2020 and the Magritte 2022. In 2023, her first feature film, Il Pleut dans la maison (It's Raining in the House), presented at the Critics' Week in Cannes in 2023, triumphed again at the FIFF Namur, where it won the Bayard d'Or and the Bayard for Best Actor.
