Born in 1965 in Tbilisi, Georgia, actor Merab Ninidze completed his training at the local Theatre and Film University. He became known to a wider audience through Caroline Link's film *Nowhere in Africa* (2001), for which he received the German Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. His versatile work includes international productions such as Steven Spielberg's *Bridge of Spies* (2015) and the series *McMafia* (2018). He has also appeared in numerous festival films, including *Jupiter's Moon* (2017), which competed at Cannes, and *A E I O U – A Quick Alphabet of Love* (2022), which premiered in competition at the Berlinale.
