Janaïna Halloy Fokan

Born in Cologne and raised in Germany and Belgium, filmmaker Janaïna Halloy Fokan studied directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Her graduation film 'O Bonde' premiered in 2023 at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis. With her subsequent short film 'A A', she received an invitation to the competition of the Berlinale's Generation 14plus section in 2024. In the same year, she was also selected to participate in the Berlinale Talents development program.
