Ioana Uricaru is a Romanian film director and writer known for her work in independent cinema. She studied at the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest and later completed her MFA in Film Directing at the University of Southern California. Uricaru gained critical acclaim for her feature film debut, "Lemonade," which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2018. The film received several awards and nominations, including the Best Film Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
