Golshifteh Farahani

Golshifteh Farahani is an Iranian-French actress and musician known for her versatile performances in both Iranian and international films. Born on July 10, 1983, in Tehran, Iran, Farahani began her acting career at a young age and gained national recognition with her role in "The Pear Tree" (1998), which won her the Best Actress award at the Fajr International Film Festival. She continued to gain acclaim in Iran with films like "Santoori" (2007) and "M for Mother" (2006). Farahani's international breakthrough came with her role in Ridley Scott's "Body of Lies" (2008) opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Due to her appearance in the film without a headscarf, she faced pressure from Iranian authorities, which ultimately led her to relocate to France.
