Christopher McQuarrie

Director

Born in 1968, the American filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie works as a screenwriter, director, and producer. For his script for the film "The Usual Suspects" (1995), he received an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award. His close collaboration with actor Tom Cruise defines much of his later career, which includes directing credits like "Jack Reacher" (2012) and several installments of the "Mission: Impossible" series, including "Fallout" (2018). As a co-writer and producer, he was also instrumental in the success of "Top Gun: Maverick" (2022), which earned him another Academy Award nomination.
