Belgian actor Astrid Whettnall completed her training at the Institut des arts de diffusion (IAD). For her leading role in the drama "Road to Istanbul" (2016), she was honored with the Magritte Award for Best Actress in 2017. She had previously received nominations for her performances in "In the Name of the Son" (2012) and the internationally successful comedy "The Brand New Testament" (2015). She also became known to a wider audience through her recurring role in the political series "Baron Noir" (2016–2020).
