Anton Yelchin was a talented actor born on March 11, 1989, in Leningrad, Soviet Union (now Saint Petersburg, Russia). He began his acting career as a child, making his film debut in "A Man Is Mostly Water" in 2000. Yelchin gained early recognition for his roles in "Hearts in Atlantis" (2001) and "Alpha Dog" (2006). His career breakthrough came when he portrayed Pavel Chekov in the rebooted "Star Trek" film series, starting with "Star Trek" (2009), followed by "Star Trek Into Darkness" (2013) and "Star Trek Beyond" (2016). Yelchin also showcased his versatility in indie films like "Like Crazy" (2011), which won the Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize, and the horror-thriller "Green Room" (2015). Despite his young age, his body of work left a lasting impact on the film industry. Tragically, Anton Yelchin's life was cut short when he died in a car accident on June 19, 2016, at the age of 27.
