Ali Liebert, born in Surrey, British Columbia, in 1981, is a Canadian actress, director, and producer. She has been working continuously in film and television since the early 2000s and has established herself with a clear profile for modern, accessible characters. In addition to her work in front of the camera, she is also active as a filmmaker.
She gained international visibility in the feature film FOXFIRE: Confessions of a Girl Gang (2012, directed by Laurent Cantet). There she plays Muriel Orvis and is part of the ensemble surrounding the eponymous girl gang. The film, based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates, shows Liebert in a striking supporting role within a closely observed coming-of-age drama.
A key milestone in her career is the series Bomb Girls, in which she played Betty McRae. For this role, she received both a Canadian Screen Award and a Leo Award, marking her breakthrough on Canadian television.
