When the notary reveals their mother's last will and testament to the twins Jeanne and Simon Marwan, the two are surprised to be handed two envelopes. One letter for her father, whom they believed to be dead, and one for their common brother, of whose existence they knew nothing at all. Jeanne believes that in this mysterious inheritance lies the key to her mother's silence, in which she spent the last five years of her life. Denis Villeneuve's Oscar-nominated masterpiece based on the acclaimed play by Wajdi Mouawad, INCENDIES tells the powerful and moving story of two young adults who go to the core of deep-rooted hatred, never-ending wars and enduring love.
