Robin Campillo
Director
Born in Morocco in 1962, French filmmaker Robin Campillo works as a director, screenwriter, and editor. He often wrote screenplays for director Laurent Cantet, including for the Palme d'Or-winning film *The Class* (2008). His internationally acclaimed directorial work, *BPM (Beats per Minute)* (2017), focuses on the work of the activist group ACT UP-Paris and was awarded the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. Previously, his film *Eastern Boys* (2013) had already won the main prize in the Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival. His most recent work is *Red Island* (2023).
