French director and screenwriter Ramzi Ben Sliman studied economics at the Sorbonne before turning to filmmaking. His feature debut, "My Revolution" (Ma Révolution, 2016), which tells the story of a teenager with Tunisian roots during the Arab Spring, was screened at the Berlinale in the Generation 14plus section. With his second feature film, "Neneh Superstar" (2022), he addresses the challenges of a young Black girl who is accepted into the renowned Paris Opera Ballet School. In his works, Ben Sliman frequently explores questions of identity, origin, and social integration in contemporary France.
